When this will be, we do not currently know. VR support (the early stages of which you can see above) is apparently being worked on by its own team, and will arrive sometime after the System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition release date. Our Notifications: "Is System Shock 2 EE still a thing?" Although the delays to the System Shock remake led many to question whether the remastered version of the sequel was even still in play, the developers confirmed in the below tweet from back in January 2021 that the project is still going ahead, albeit in the early stages of development. Nightdive said that they would be working on System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition back in 2019.
System Shock 2 Enhanced Edition will use the same engine as the System Shock remake, including 4K support, and apparently will support VR play!
